Who is your competition, and is there a market for your business? Of course, this has something to do with your area of operation; how many other DJs are in operation in your area, and what is their reputation? Do you have something unique to offer, and can you recognize a group that would be glad to have your services? As always, in business, you must find a need and fill it.
You need money for equipment. Check what you have already against what you do not have and then figure out how to finance yourself because aside from equipment, you must advertise yourself to potential customers.
