Q.) What is your name/stage name?

A.) “J2 or J2 The Rapper”

Q.) Where are you from?

A.) “Originally, I’m from Florida but I bounced all over and landed in Colorado.“

Q.) What do you do?

A.) “I’m a rapper that’s a single dad so I hop from job to job.“

Q.) How long have you been making music?

A.) “Roughly 5 years but I’ve been rapping for closer to 15 years.“

Q.) What are you making music for?

A.) “I’d like to leave behind a legacy for my son and to help anybody that’s gone through the type of things that I’ve gone through in the process.“

Q.) What’s driving you?

A.) “My son is the biggest motivator for me, but I’d also like to highlight some of today’s issues and maybe formulate solutions if it’s broadcasted loud enough.“

Q.) Who’s your biggest inspiration?

A.) “That’s really hard one for me, but I’d have to say my buddy Matthew Greene or his Mom Lisa. Both are truly exceptional people with the biggest hearts I’ve ever seen and Matthew has a drive on him like no other, it’s really inspiring to watch.“

Q.) What genre of music do you create?

A.) “Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B.“

Q.) What was it like working with (WAIFWRLD -WIFE-WORLD-?)

A.) “WAIF is a good homie and I really like collaborating with him. We can really bounce ideas off of each other or criticism so that doesn’t negatively influence us in any way.“

Q.) What are some features you have?

A.) “I’m currently working on a couple features for the O.W.O.(Our World Order) album and a few others in the works with Lil C out of Colorado and WAIF.”

Q.) What are some features you want to get?

A.) “Man! That’s the question haha. I’ve got big goals so I would like to work with JL B Hood, Wreckonize, Blaze Tha Meziah, Smoke Gzuz, Eminem, Post Malone, Rhianna, Avril Lavigne, and Haley Williams from Paramore to name a few but the list is absolutely absurd haha.“

Q.) Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?

A.) “Chester Bennington from Linkin Park. The vocal range and emotion that he was able to present is unmatched in my opinion.“

Q.) Are you signed to a label?

A.) “Unsigned at the moment.“

Q.) Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?

A.) “I don’t really think I want to do a record deal unless it’s under my own scrutiny. I would like to keep full ownership of my music so that I can pass on the royalties to my son if and when I pass on.“

Q.) Who are your biggest supporters?

A.) “The online community and the artist that I work with are absolutely my biggest supporters aside from a few friends like family. I’ve got quite a few friends, but none of them support quite like the choice few and my online community.“

Q.) Where did your name come from?

A.) “It actually started out as part of a group project or collaboration with a buddy of mine Lion Blaq, we went by 2 Tones and I was Johnny 2 Tonez.“

Q.) What are you currently working on?

A.) “Right now I’m working on a collaboration project that is untitled at the moment with WAIFWRLD which will be an EP or album, A collaboration with O.W.O. for an album, and I’m also working on two new singles called ‘Cruise Control’ & ‘Paranoid’ ft. Lil C & WAIFWRLD, so keep on my pages to stay tuned.”

Q.) What is your latest release?

A.) “ ‘Kamikaze’ (FT. WAIFWRLD) Just dropped on YouTube everywhere today 12-1-22 and last week I dropped my debut mixtape ‘Truth Be Told’ featuring my single ‘What You On?’ That has its official music video out now on YouTube so make sure to check that out as well.“

A.) “I’m consistent so stay tuned.“
