Interview With DaKaine SME

1. How would you describe your musical style?

I would describe my musical style as versatile. It also depends on the emotions in that song. I do prefer rapping but there are time where singing comes in.

2. What is the first album you owned?

The first full album I had to own was Big Sean’s album, Finally Famous. I remember hearing him freestyle and it inspired me to start writing.

3. How do you prepare before going up on stage?

I have only performed locally once. Preparing for my show was comforting; listening to the tracks, being around

those that love and support me, loosening up. I was able to put my best foot forward.

4. If we’re going to buy you a drink, what should it be?

If we are doing shots Hennessy or Jack Daniels will do for me.

5. What’s a song that has been stuck in your head these days?

Recently I have been between Chris Brown’s “Hmhmm” and NBA Youngboys “Wagwan.”

6. Who’s your favorite artist?

One of my favorite artists has to be J Cole. His lyrics and the way he flow is phenomenal.

7. Tell us about the first song you made. Was it a success or a failure?

The first song I made was “Rider.” It has so much potential and I personally feel that it was a success.

8. What is the story behind “FILL IN BLANK”

The story behind Rider is Love I’ve been through a lot with relations some good most bad when I wrote rider I was with a special person who I’m still with today

9.If you could pick one or the other, what would you choose, the money or the fame?

I would chose the money over the fame because If I really had to pick one I’d prefer the money. I just want to make sure that what I’m passionate in can help me take care of my loved ones & I. Fame wise, I not one for extra attention but can show out if need be.

10.If you could go back in time or in the future, which one would you choose and why?

I would go back in time, I would apply knowledge and push myself harder to accomplish a lot more. There is always a reason why things happen as well, There is always a starting point.
