Christian/Conscious rapper and producer from Savannah, Georgia. With over a decade of experience in the music industry, G.O.V. has made a name for himself with his uplifting and empowering music. In this interview, G.O.V. shares his journey as a musician, his inspirations, and future plans.

G.O.V. started his music career over 10 years ago, with his first song/project “Shake’em Off.” When asked about his inspirations, he listed T-Bone, Robby Mac, Michael Jackson, Percy Miller, Snoop Dogg, Mystikal, and Ludacris. While he draws inspiration from various artists, he ultimately considers himself as his biggest inspiration.

As a Christian/Conscious rapper, G.O.V. creates music that uplifts and empowers his listeners. He aims to spread a positive message through his music, and his genre of choice reflects his faith and values. While his music is rooted in Christianity, he also touches on social issues and encourages listeners to be conscious and active members of society.

G.O.V. has worked with various artists throughout his career, including King Crooked. When asked about his dream collaboration, he named Tupac. Despite not being signed to a label, G.O.V. expressed his desire for a record deal or distribution deal.

G.O.V. credits his biggest supporters to his family and church. He writes his own material and creates his own music video concepts. He draws inspiration from hip hop music and is currently working on his next album and the first artist off his label.

G.O.V.’s latest releases include two singles: “Praise the Lord” (an ASAP Rocky cover) and “Ain’t No Way” featuring Culture, who is also his son-in-law and the first artist off his label. His next release is set for June 10th.

When asked about his aspirations, G.O.V. shared his desire to perform at the BET Hip Hop Awards and to tour consistently. While his biggest performance to date was in front of a crowd of 300, he hopes to perform for even larger crowds in the future. He sees himself touring with Lecrae and producing his own music.
