As the year came to a close in 2023, hip-hop aficionados were treated to a special delivery – the collaborative effort of Curren$y and Trauma Tone, titled “Highway 600.” This nine-track project, dropped in mid-December, quickly became synonymous with laid-back evenings and chill vibes.
The Louisiana-based Curren$y, no stranger to a busy year, had already unleashed three LPs and a remarkable 14 singles before this release. The original album featured standout tracks like “Coming Home” with Don Toliver and the infectious “All F****d Up.” Now, the duo has given fans an early 2024 gift with the deluxe edition, featuring an additional eight tracks.
The revamped tracklist puts the new songs at the forefront, creating a fresh dynamic for listeners. The inclusion of Wiz Khalifa on “What She In It For?” adds a captivating layer to an already stellar lineup.
One cannot ignore the visual transformation either – the new cover art, with its stunning sunset and city skyline, perfectly complements the easygoing atmosphere of the album. So, which version do you prefer – the original or the deluxe? Share your thoughts in the comments as we embark on this musical journey through “Highway 600.”
