Ahmad McLaurin, better known as Sge Migo, hails from the heart of Jackson, Mississippi, where his journey into the world of hip hop began four years ago. His debut project, “Take Off,” marked the beginning of a promising career influenced heavily by his mentor, E-Smitty.
Inspired by the likes of Yo Gotti, Ahmad’s music embodies the raw energy of Southern hip hop, blending influences from rap and country music. With features alongside artists like Tirp Sev CT and E-Smitty himself, Sge Migo is carving out a unique space in the industry.
While Ahmad dreams of securing a record deal to amplify his reach, he remains grounded by the support of his friends and family, who have been his steadfast pillars since day one. Ahmad writes all his lyrics, channeling personal experiences into his music, although he leaves the visual storytelling to trusted collaborators.
Currently, Sge Migo is gearing up for the release of his latest EP, “Do You Hear Me,” slated to drop in the coming weeks. His ambitions stretch beyond his hometown, with aspirations to perform in Colombia and share his music with an international audience.
Reflecting on his journey so far, Ahmad sees himself headlining tours alongside artists like Lil Uzi Vert, backed by the production talents of Shane Thompson and E-Smitty. His ultimate goal? Living his dream fully immersed in the world of music.
