Ray Vaughn makes a commanding solo debut with The Good The Bad The Dollar Menu, his first full-length project under Top Dawg Entertainment. Long recognized as one of TDE’s most promising signees since joining the roster in 2020, the Long Beach rapper now steps firmly into the spotlight.
The 11-track mixtape features standout collaborations with labelmates Isaiah Rashad (“EAST CHAT”) and Jay Rock (“KLOWN dance”), but it’s Vaughn’s introspection and lyrical weight that carry the project. Tracks like “FLOCKER’s remorse” and “XXXL Tee” highlight the mental toll of fame and survival, with Vaughn delivering sobering reflections like, “The last thing I wanna be on is a tee shirt.”
Elsewhere, singles like “DOLLAR menu” and “FLAT shasta” add sonic variety— the latter featuring vocals from Ash Leone. Additional guests include Sydney Leona, genre-blending vocalist Samara Cyn, and Bay Area wordsmith LaRussell, rounding out a project that showcases both Vaughn’s sharp pen and emotional depth.
With The Good The Bad The Dollar Menu, Ray Vaughn proves he’s not just next up—he’s already here.
