A.) My name is ‘Osayiwu Samuel Osarumwense’, my stage name is ‘Sammie Cross’ , I am located in ‘Lekki -Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria’.
Q.) Where are you from?
A.) I am from ‘Benin city, Edo state Nigeria’.
Q.) What do you do?
A.) I am a ‘musician and performing artist, song writter, singer and rapper’.
Q.) How long have you been making music?
A.) I have been making music for the past ’15 years’ now.
Q.) Who’s your biggest inspiration?
A.) My biggest inspiration is to become the greatest modern day ‘king of pop music’.
Q.) What genre of music do you create?
A.) My genre of music is ‘Afrobeat’, I am an afro-fusionist and as such, i create ‘afro pop music, hip-hop, RnB, Dancehall, Trap and Amapiano’.
Q.) What was it like working with (collabs?)
A.) Having collabs will be great especially with ‘foreign artist’ as it will give me more exposure to their specific genre.
Q.) What are some features you have?
A.) Currently, I have only had features with my music producer – ‘Loopy Beatz’.
Q.) What are some features you want to get?
A.) I would love a feature with ‘Ne-yo, Lady Gaga, Akon, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Brandy and Rihanna’.
Q.) Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?
A.) I would love to work with ‘Rihanna’.
Q.)Are you signed to a label?
A.) Currently I am ‘not signed to any label’.
Q.) Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?
A.) I would appreciate a ‘recording deal and also a distribution deal’.
Q.) Who are your biggest supporters?
A.) So far the only financial supporters I have is my family.
Q.) Where did your name come from?
A.) My stage name Sammie Cross comes from a combination of my nickname ‘Sammie’ from my first name Samuel and the ‘Cross’ comes from an inspiration of Rick Ross. I only added a ‘C’ to Ricky’s “Ross”.
Q.) What are you currently working on?
A.) Currently I am working on ‘two EP and two albums’ for next year although I have alot of recorded songs.
Q.) What is your latest release?
A.) My latest release is my ‘Cruise and Storm Ep’, a 7-track Ep available in all streaming platforms.
Q.) When is your next release?
A.) Getting a recording and distribution deal will determine my next release.
