Q) What do you have going on that you’re most excited about?
A) “I recently released a collab project with close friend and producer prat (@prat.audio on Instagram) titled “HTW”. Dropping just a few weeks ago on November 11th, it’s already accumulated more streams than any of my past projects so that’s exciting. I believe this project is setting the tone for my sound and what’s to come of it.”
Q) What would you say you are least excited about?
A) “Post-promo. Pushing and promoting music once it is released is by far my least favorite aspect of this sh*t. The constant posting is a drag but I’m well aware of how essential it really is, especially with the power of social media these days. The internet’s a tool, you gotta use it.”
Q) Is there anything specific about you or your work that you think we should know about?
A) “It’s honest, I don’t shy away from the truth or how I’m feeling when I’m creating a record. No matter what it is I’m going through, I’ll project that into my music. Also most of my recent content as well as what’s to come is primarily in-house. This goes from Producing, Mixing & Mastering, Photography, and Music Videos.”
Q) What would you consider to be a lot of money?
A) “If I’m able to live my everyday life the way I want to, that’s enough income for me. I haven’t seen much money but if I had to say what a lot would be to me… a Mil sounds pretty hefty.”
Q) Are you in it for the money?
A) “Money can’t buy happiness, I’m in it for the evolution of myself and my art.”
Q) Is there anything you’ve accomplished that you didn’t think you would be able to?
A) “At one point, the thought of having records on major streaming platforms was like a fantasy. Being able to make beats was far fetched. People LISTENING sounded unlikely. I made it this far, I’ll make it as far as I’m willing to take it”
Q) What is the first song off your catalog that you would direct a potential new fan to listen to?
A) ““Re-Run” is the first thing I’d say. Up-beat, bass-heavy, bar-plenty and catchy. “
Q) How many songs have you released?
A) “Something like 50 songs are surfaced across multiple platforms.”
Q) Tell us about some of your works not yet released, what’s going on in the vault?
A) “Man, a variety for sure. Lots of collabs with prat, a few other artists and peers of mine as well. I have a lot of different vibes locked up. I’m dropping a lot of singles in 2022.”
Q) What do you think your role in the music community may end up being?
A) “An artist. Accessible. I want people to know me for more than just one thing. I want to build a rep up and be recognized for writing, rapping, exec. producing, engineering, designing… CREATING. I’m focused on people tuning in to get something dark, gritty, but genuine and new. I think i’ll exceed expectations and surprise people at the end of it all.”
Q) What is a goal you have for between now and next year?
A) “Grow the fan base. More monthly listeners, a bigger following. But most importantly my goal is to make as much of the best music I can possibly make for the next year.”
Q) How do you respond when people talk about being an artist like its a far fetched thing?
A) “From a young age it was drilled into my mind that if you work hard at something, if you’re driven… you can do whatever you want. And I’d rather die trying then live regretting.”
Q) Who is the rapper you can first recall listening to?
A) “Eminem, the song was “The Way I Am”. First listen I was hooked and that ignited my journey into the world of Hip-Hop.”
Q) What role would you say they had in the music industry?
A) “The instigator, the villain. But a voice for the troubled youth.”
Q) Do you listen to them still?
A) “Not his new stuff but I’ll occasionally revisit the music that got me through sh*t growing up.”
