Q) What do you have going on that you’re most excited about?
A) “I’ve had a new project on my mind since last week, I want to release somewhere around 14 self-produced tracks by January. On top of that I have a couple of songs I want to drop in the upcoming weeks, which were actually produced by someone else.”
Q) What would you say you are least excited about?
A) “I would say I’m probably least excited about the first mixing stages I’m going to go through with my vocals because as I’m still learning my voice I want to kinda experiment more on different sounds until something sticks.”
Q) Is there anything specific about you or your work that you think we should know about?
A) “I love music, but when it comes to anything else, I get impatient and go back to making music. I also produce my own music, about 90% of my music out there is made by me, for me.”
Q) What would you consider to be a lot of money?
A) “I would consider $10,000 to be a lot of money, which means I’ve never seen $10,000, it seems like a lot to me though.”
Q) Are you in it for the money?
A) “I’m here for the money for sure, but I didn’t start creating music to make money, I did it because I enjoyed it, and that drove me to keep making more and learn production all the way to where I’m at now.”
Q) Is there anything you’ve accomplished that you didn’t think you would be able to?
A) “Yes, I made money off my first mix-tape, “Lost in the Sauce”, and I did not think that it would do nearly as well as it did, but it did and that makes me very excited for the future.”
Q) What is the first song off your catalog that you would direct a potential new fan to listen to?
A) “I would recommend “ You Know Me”, as it’s a good intro to the tape and probably the closest to more mainstream music, from there the tape really takes a unique turn.”
Q) How many songs have you released?
A) “15 on all platforms, I’d say like 10 more on my Soundcloud though.”
Q) Tell us about some of your works not yet released, what’s going on in the vault?
A) “The vault has 3 songs right now, I don’t like to vault a lot of my music, but everything in the vault is just a different style than what I was originally going for and got, but who knows, I’ll probably drop them in with a project they can add to.”
Q) What do you think your role in the music community may end up being?
A) “I think my role may be to make music that makes me feel good and connects to others, I want to be someone other artists can look at when they think of someone who connects to their audience. I don’t really plan on being any leader to other artists, but if that ended up being the case I wouldn’t be mad about it.”
Q) What is a goal you have for between now and next year?
A) “My goal from now until next year is to reach 25,000 streams on my music, it’s a big one but not too big that I don’t think we can do it.”
Q) How do you respond when people talk about being an artist like its a far fetched thing?
A) “I don’t get very angry about it, I more so try to understand why they think that, and let them know it’s not that crazy of a thing to want to make music for a living.”
Q) Who is the rapper you can first recall listening to?
A) “The first rapper I can recall listening to is Snoop Dogg, in the back of the car while my mom was driving me to school.”
Q) What role would you say they had in the music industry?
A) “I’d say Snoop Dogg had a pretty big role as not only in rap and hip hop, but as a gatekeeper in a sense as well to his style of rap. He is also seen as a beacon of knowledge not only to me but to established artists as well.”
Q) Do you listen to them still?
A) “Definitely not as much, my playlist has changed a lot just the past two years, but I could definitely put some Snoop Dogg on and enjoy it.”
