6ix9ine is making headlines once again, but this time it’s for a lucrative new record deal with Kartel Music Group. According to TMZ, the Brooklyn rapper has signed on to record a 10-track album with Mexican artists for $1 million, and he’ll also earn a whopping $250,000 per show when he takes the project on tour through Mexico, South America, and the U.S.
In total, 6ix9ine could pocket around $6 million if all goes according to plan. However, there’s one crucial stipulation—he must stay out of legal trouble. That means no arrests, no beef, and no online drama while the contract is in effect.
When asked about this during an interview with TMZ, 6ix9ine didn’t seem too worried, saying he’s confident he can avoid any issues. He also pointed out that the deal is less about making music and more about an exclusive tour and management arrangement with Kartel Music.
Kartel Music seems just as enthusiastic about the partnership, with one representative saying, “We think we’re a perfect match. We’re going to make some serious noise together.”
But not everything is going smoothly for the rapper. Recently, his ex-girlfriend, Yailin La Más Viral, filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of abuse and revenge porn. Yailin (real name Jorgina Lulu Guillermo Diaz) alleges that 6ix9ine posted explicit content of her on social media following their breakup, though the posts have since been taken down. She’s seeking more than $1 million in damages for the emotional distress.
6ix9ine has strongly denied the accusations, saying he supported Yailin and her family during their relationship, providing for her daughter and covering various expenses.
Despite the controversy surrounding his personal life, this new deal with Kartel Music could be a major step forward for 6ix9ine. Only time will tell if he can avoid the drama long enough to make good on this million-dollar opportunity.
