Hey _____________ How are you?
Man I’m blessed to be able to be alive after what we have have witnessed over the last few years. That Covid changed everything and made this a different world. If you really study music and listen to music from all different years you can see that is has been key to bringing people together. If you listen to old songs the lyrics and the hook sometimes just the hook is all it took to change your state of thinking. That’s what’s going to change shit is the music. The way music biz is definitely right now how they sample songs remade the right couple of records could change shit. Might not change everything but at least have you thinking. That’s where my head is right now that’s what’s going on with me. SO to Jake over at Swaggertown Records for hooking up this interview.
What is your biggest achievement?
I don’t think I have meet my biggest achievement in life. I feel like my life has been held hostage for the last 10 years. Made a bunch of bad choices while being married to to my ex wife. No blame on her not a shit bag like that just being real. In that time it’s hard to stay focused on your goals when your doing bad shit. A huge loss of my nephew in 2019. When you don’t have that clean Energy it’s hard but now with clear air and less stress I can go after my goals to make big achievements.
Who is your biggest inspiration ?
I’d have to say Quincy Jones. The man just a musical genius hands down. There wasn’t any hoping in the computer and making some magic. All those Michael Jackson albums was sheet music. He wrote all that music arranged and produced the vocals on timeless albums. To me that’s greatness that stands above in the music industry. The fact that he was 45 when he produced MJ off the wall shows that age means nothing if you can make good music. Pharrell ,J Dilla, Mike Will, 808 mafia, London, Will A Fool, !llmind, Alchemist, Cnote to just name are some producers bring inspiration. There are so many more it would take forever to name everyone who’s work has inspired me.
Where do you see yourself in 1 year ?
Working with artists working on giggles scores Voice overs ,commercials Tik Tok, video games just really getting my foot In the door and making my way musically. I’m better place traveling meeting people getting out more. I have so many goals that I have set for myself that in one year to knock some notches off my list would be amazing.
Where are you from?
I’m from Denver Colorado. It’s more famous for the weed Laws vs the music scene but there are some great people in the music industry from Denver. Big John Plate and Indie Irie are a few names along with Philip Bailey are from denver.
How old are you?
I’m Seazened but still loving music. I think age is irrelevant if your music can remain relevant to the times. So beats people made years ago just now make it out the hard drive. I’m not a youngster that’s for sure
Are you working on any projects ?
Not currently working on any projects as far as working with a artist. I have been been making some slaps for some Instagram ads for my people at Savoy Icehouse and the TLH in Houston Texas. Worrking on building up my hard drive with slaps ready to go.
What are you in this industry for ?
I was told a long time ago and I’ve always said this get into music for the love of music. When you hear stories of 40 OVO
on the computer still working when everyone was sleeping trying to figure out his process. 40 day 40 nights grinding. So I’m in the mix to try and have some type of impact with some good music.
What’s your next move ?
Start working with Swaggertown Records really help me elevate my game to the next level. Get to networking getting out the house hitting up studios. Collaboration with other producers to make my life a musical filled life I will never work another day in my life. It’s difficult but a different game now. You don’t just have to make beats now. Sample makers are killing it with the right line plus credit on there work. Some give royalty free but most want a percentage . Pay attention to them terms in them sample packs be there not all royalty free. Getting out there making it happen turning my dream in to my reality.
