What’s your name?
My name is Columns formerly known as Verceti Trap Star.
I’m from Milan Italy
I’m 29
The first song I wrote was actually when I was 3 years of age. I remember like it was yesterday I was writing down lyrics singing in my head, ” girl girl girl you know ” never finished it, I’ve always had a passion
for Lliberal Arts as well. I’ve been studying music theory for 20 years now.
How serious are you about your career?
There are so many avenues to get in when you talk about the music industry.
You can be a publisher, songwriter, entertainment attorney etc. My dreams growing up was to be a DJ and compose music for video games. I became a DJ but I haven’t made any scores for video games yet. I manage myself also. releasing music libraries to streaming services. I’ve made over 15k in my time with music over all so I can say I’m very serious about my career.
Have you ever thought about quitting music?
No, music comes from within so when I first started doing music I never had an idea of making a lot of money from the entertainment industry. It’s more so just the love of art. So that’s one of the main reasons why I’ve never thought about quitting music.
I have multiple influences ranging from all types of genres but what inspires me the most, I would say just aesthetics from the universe within. For small reference I used to stare at pictures of nebulas and galaxies just as an artistic reference into feelings, translating those feelings into sound. But my two biggest influences I would say would be Star Trak Entertainment ” The Neptunes ” Pharrell Williams & Chad Hugo, Japanese music composer and programmer Yuzo Koshiro.
My favorite producer I would say is Yuzo Koshiro.
My best instrumental or beat would be Love In The West Indies. It’s very tribal and spanish influenced. I read a lot about the age of exploration when Christopher Columbus set sail to the new world. I draw aesthetics from those diagrams. So that track is very latin americano influenced. I always reminisce on what the land was versus what it is. I deeply put that reference in ” Love In The West Indies”..North & South America was beautiful in pre columbian times! Just a dialect coming from an Afro Latino Americano.
I have distribution by artist.soundcloud.com . My publisher is BMI.
Yes my first performance was in 2018
I would love to open for MAITRO. Maitro is a composer from the Netherlands. He’s into aesthetics. I’ve collaborated with him in the past. He had a show in Los Angeles California not too long ago. He’s dope! Look him up
I’m currently working on a music library called I Love Ruffino’s Vol 1 Rocky Mount Chronicles which should be releasing shortly co produced with my cousin. Preparing to also go back to college. My honors will be an associates in Information Technology.
