Ro Schlidin
2. Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Plainfield, NJ and moved to Florida after high school.
3. How old are you?
25 years old
4 .When did you start making music
I started recording in 2016 but started writing years before that.
5. How serious are you about your career?
I breathe music, it is what drives me everyday. And I’m happy there’s so much of it to listen to.
6. Have you ever thought about quitting music?
I never thought about quitting the creation of music. It’s something I see myself doing 30 years from now. Sometimes writers block can be discouraging, but I feel like passion never dies.
7. Who inspires you the most?
My family inspires me the most because I know I can help our situation. Being someone who can put my ma on a flight and get her everything she wants is something that makes me go hard even more.
8.What got you into making music?
I started from young, I played drums, trumpet, and French horn when I was younger and started recording in high school when it was just a cool hobby. But I’ve been exposed to so much music from young that it’s always been around.
9.Who is your favorite producer?
My favorite producer currently is Pi’erre Bourne because I like how he make his projects sound like one long song. Even his artist get the same treatment and get great beats.
10. What is one of your best songs/beats?
I could give you a few but I would say Lincoln’s Melancholy off of my latest tape ‘Every Other Time’ or Options/Go Slide off of Plucked Petals. Love those vibes.
11. Are you signed to a record or label?
I am not currently signed.
12. Have you ever performed?
I live for the day to be up on stage raging but as of this interview I have not gotten the opportunity.
13. Who would you most likely collaborate with?
If I had to pick a Collab, as an artist it would be Kali Uchis or Smino and as a producer I would probably do a whole tape with Pi’erre Bourne.
14. If you could open for any artist who would it be?
If I could open for any artist it would have to be Drake, but I’m going to need to fill some big shoes for an opening act.
15. What’s next for you?
More music! I’m in the process of dropping the most music I’ve ever dropped in a collection. It’s probably going to be called ‘Sclizzed Up’ because Ro Schlides why else? 2023 will be the year I perform.
