Bristol, Connecticut Artist SeyedKik
Q.) What is your name/stage name?
A.) “My name is SeyedKik, pronounced (Side-kick).”
Q.) Where are you located?
A.) “I was born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut and I am currently located in Bristol, Connecticut.”
Q.) What is the meaning behind your name?
A.) “SeyedKik, It resembles a partner in need. It means the word it sounds out to be, but it is spelt unique to define the approach and style I like to take to life and the art I am creating.”
Q.) What are your roles within the music industry?
A.) “The role I currently play in the music industry is I supply true music and energetic performances. I strive to show clarity in my music and my character because it’s vital for people to know there is someone there for them. Someone who has gone through it, and wants to move through it together. Overall, I want to show that it does not matter what, it does not matter how, with understanding there will always be a way out. Through my sound and style variation, I exemplify that anything you are going through has a form of expression.”
Q.) What got you into music?
A.) “I’ve been heavily influenced by all genres of music for as long as I can remember, mainly East Coast style RnB and slow rock. Through time, I found it nice to express myself through music, even more of a relief to create it. Flow and rhythm came with ease, it was just a matter of giving it a direction.”
Q.) What type of music do you make?
A.) “My favorite style to create would have to be true Hip-Hop. I make many more styles like RnB, Jazz, and a large range of rap. But in my opinion, music with upbeat rhythm and bright sounds only calls for a great time and lots of grooving.”
Q.) How long have you been making music?
A.) “ I started writing in 2016 with no inte5nt to create full songs or publish any works. Around the middle of 2017, I released my first couple of songs, “Shooting Spree” and “WAX”. On December 2nd, 2018 I had my first on-stage performance, opening up for Dave East. Since then, I have been dropping singles and performing at local shows across Connecticut, aiming to grow and expand.“
Q.) What are you making music for?
A.) “ I make music for the purpose of learning how to express myself more, and gain a better relation to everyone who tries to cope through music. Music to me is a key to peace not just for myself but for everyone who allows it to be a part of them.”
Q.) What’s driving you?
A.) “I’m driven by the need for more. I want to give everyone a chance to be great, but they need to learn that it all starts within them, not abroad. As I grew up I was surrounded by people who would only settle. I want to show all that there’s a greener side. It is about exploring it to the fullest, that is exactly what I plan to do.”

Q.) Who are your biggest supporters?
A.) “ My biggest supporter is every supporter. In this day and age being anything is difficult because there are so many different takes on life. For someone to appreciate my sound and energy enough to listen again, come see a performance, or tell a friend, then that to me is big enough of support.”
Q.) Are you signed to a label?
A.) “I do not belong to or have any representation with any companies. But I do wish to partner and collaborate in the future with many small or large businesses.”
Q.) Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?
A.) “I want to strive and strive with whoever wants it just as badly as I do. I don’t want to fall short of the image I created and hope that soon enough a company will give the image a chance.”
Q.) Who are some features that you have?
A.) “I have featured with many artists. I enjoy working with talent from all across the globe. I have done performances for both Dave East and Lil Mosey. While also making great friends like Colaver, Leroy Trayvone, SoapOnAFlower and so many more.”
Q.) Who are some features you want to get?
A.) “A few artists I aspire to work with would have to be DreamVilles Line up. Along with Jay-Z, Bruno Mars, and Andre 3000. Honestly There are so many more, I love sound and I can’t help but feel great potential in every possibility.“
Q.) Is there anybody else you want to shout out for any reason?
A.) “Throughout the years, I have stumbled upon many wise and powerful individuals. I have to give thanks to Night Lavell, Walter Sabella, Coledyn Garrow, Ethan Poole. I also have to thank my amazing mother for her never dying support, along with my sister, my girl, and the rest of my beautiful growing family.“
Q.) What are you currently working on?
A.) “The One and Only isn’t just my debut album, but a 2 part 12 tune assembly of power, confidence, and demonstration of how It does not matter how little you have, it’s about how much you can make of it. With the smooth flows and catchy hooks I find a way to tell a story, move a crowd and keep you listening. Bringing you the one and only.”
Q.) What is your latest release?
A.) “ My latest release is a two song EP, called “Take Two”
It consists of beautifully rhythmic and lyrical tracks.“
