RVNDO Lando – Atlanta, GA
Q.) What is your name/stage name?
A.) RVNDO, pronounced: “Rando”. Found under all streaming services as RvndoLando.
Q.) Where are you from?
A.) I’m from Atlanta
Q.) What do you do?
A.) I’m a musician, producer, DJ, and Songwriter.
Q.) How long have you been making music?
- A.) I’ve been making music since I was in high school, but it kind of fell off because that’s not typically seen as an ideal career. So I stopped, went to college and got a corporate job. Then after 2 years of COVID, I made 2022 the year of taking risks and making shit shake.
Q.) Who’s your biggest inspiration?
A.) Honestly, anyone who pushes the envelope in music and helps the sound evolve. Artists like Drake, and producers like Tek.Lun, and some people who balance being an Artist and Producer like Masego, and Baby Keem.
Q.) What genre of music do you create?
- A.) That’s complicated, because I typically float around, based on how I am feeling or what inspires me. I mostly make Electronic R&B, Dance, Hip Hop/Rap. I really just like to use different elements that mess well. Sometimes, I will throw in some jazz. I work with a lot of live instrumentation.
Q.) What was it like working with (collabs?)
A.) So far it’s been good. Once you find an artist that is versatile can write, then it’s all about creativity and chemistry.
Q.) What are some features you have?
A.) I have one feature right now from an up and coming rapper in South Africa. I have a few more I am working on as well.
Q.) What are some features you want to get?
A.) Honestly, whoever wants to work, and as long as it meshes with my sound, let’s do it. Dream goal though, it would be Drake, SZA, J. Cole, SG Lewis, Cella. Those are people who have a very versatile sound, and I think we could create something really dope.
Q.) Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?
A.) 1000% Mac Miller. The man was a poet and a talent this world has not seen. Juice Wrld too. I relate to poets and emo rappers, because of how they channel their experiences into their music.
Q.)Are you signed to a label?
A.) No
Q.) Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?
A.) Honestly, I don’t know. It would be great to have the backing of a label. My focus is more as a producer than an artist though.
Q.) Who are your biggest supporters?
A.) Anybody who takes the time to stream, or save my tracks to their library. I also have a circle of folks who are rooting for me though.
Q.) Where did your name come from?
A.) Anyone who truly knows me, knows, I am the most random person ever. You name it, I’ve probably done it. For a while I couldn’t settle on the genre of music I wanted to make. Some days I would be making R&B, some days, EDM, some days Rap, some days Jazz instrumentals. One time I spent a week or so creating my own meditation music. Branding is so important, and because I’m so indecisive, RVNDO just made sense. Also, Lando is just part of my actual name.
Q.) What are you currently working on?
A.) Right now I am working on 2 projects. An EP of melodies with chill moody stuff. Then another project of more upbeat Electronic Soul/R&B, Dance, Hip Hop.
Q.) What is your latest release?
A.) Latest release is a track called “Bad News” featuring Karabelo N. First release was Metamorphosis, which has been doing really well.
Q.) When is your next release?
A.) I plan on releasing a couple more tracks by the end of year and the full projects next year.
