1. What’s your name?
My name is Adkins Damier. My friend and family call me Adino or Dino. My stage moniker is UnKnWn Dino.
2. Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Haiti for the first part of my life. I came to the states at 15 in 2011. Me and my family settled in Miami, Fl which is where is finished secondary education and refined my writing skills.
3. How old are you?
I turned 27 this year.
4 .When did you start making music
I have honestly been writing poetry from an early age and through school. But I started recording music with instrumentals in 2016.
5. How serious are you about your career?
I am very serious about my music career. I know there’s a lot of hard work that goes into it. I’m willing to give this my all and dedicate my time and patience to my craft. Through making music I learned that the process can’t be rush. I hope to leave a tiny imprint that can make an impact.
6. Have you ever thought about quitting music?
Almost everyday these past 6 years. Doing music for 6 years without a true blueprint on how to monetize can become extremely frustrating. You become somewhat bitter although the love of the art and sound is still there. You feel like you getting passed on but not realizing how much actual work and effort goes into this.
7. Who inspires you the most?
In life I would say my family inspires me a lot. I come from an immigrant background where hard work and dedication has always been a major value instilled in us.
In music I would say I have a lot of people I look up to and appreciate. I don’t want to be cliché or bias. Although my first love is hip hop, musical artist from all genre have inspired me.
8.What got you into making music?
Hip Hop got me into making music. Some of my earliest fascination with art and music was through film, art and hip hop. My first music video that stuck with me was big Pimpin. The first album I listened through and through was Get rich or die trying by 50 cent. That same year because we loved music so much our cousins bought a few iPods with all genre and music downloaded which helped me get familiar with all sounds.
9.Who is your favorite producer?
That’s a tough question! I have learned to fall in love with all aspects of music. In hip hop the producer and beat are extremely important sometimes even more than the artist. Growing up I would say my ear was captivated by a lot of New York/East coast and West coast vibes. Once I migrated to the states in 2011, I think that’s when the south and Atlanta became a little bit more prominent and the sound became even more blended.
10. What is one of your best songs/beats?
El Toxico (Never Lose) is one of my best songs released thus far. Urgent and Kush Clouds are really good as well these were recorded 6 years ago.
11. Are you signed to a record or label?
Currently I am unsigned and independent.
12. Have you ever performed?
Only public speaking at family parties, school and class. but not an actual show with people coming to be entertained.
13. Who would you most likely collaborate with?
So many people I want to work with but I has to make sense in finding the right blends. I grew up listening to a lot of lil Wayne, Jay Z, Drake, Kanye, Migos, Nicki Minaj, Young Thug, Travis Scott, ASAP Rocky, Jcole, Kendrick, Tyler, Pharrell, Timbaland, game, 50 cent, Eminem, Pusha T, etc…. those would definitely be like a lucid dream. Those are contemporaries but I feel the artist from 2014 and up are people I would love to collab with daily and like be around to leaner the game of fame. Like Uzi, Yatchy, Famous Dex, Playboy carti, chief keef, lil Durk, lil baby like people that help shape the sound of our new ear and generation. I love peep, juice World, xxxtentacion, PnB, like so many artist from that era help inspire my artistic vulnerability.
14. If you could open for any artist who would it be?
I would open for anyone willing to have me open for them. I am an up and coming artist and I would appreciate any opportunity to show case my talent.
15. What’s next for you?
I mean it feels like i have been waiting for this my whole life. Im more use to things not working than actually working out for the best. If I would be afforded this opportunity I would write and record music every day until the love is gone. But in any case if this does not work, I just have to put my big boys pants on and get a job and work harder at my craft to hopefully get notice.
