Renowned hip-hop figure Benzino has reignited his longstanding feud with Eminem, delivering a potent blow through his latest diss track, “Rap Elvis.” Released on January 31, this track marks Benzino’s second assault on Eminem within the same week. The former publisher of The Source magazine doesn’t hold back, going beyond the realms of musical critique and venturing into the personal and professional.
In a bold move, Benzino took to Instagram, warning Eminem of impending cancellation unless he responds within 48 hours. The diss track, however, is where Benzino truly lets loose, dissecting Eminem’s character and questioning his connection with his hometown, Detroit. The lyrics delve into Eminem’s alleged neglect of the city’s talent, drawing on claims made by Icewear Vezzo.
Furthermore, Benzino directs his verbal onslaught towards Eminem’s track record as a music executive, highlighting the departure of several artists from Shady Records over the years. The track meticulously names those who severed ties, painting a picture of instability within Eminem’s label.
