Imthxfuture was invited to New York City by significant music industry figures following the
success of his 2023 single ‘Lifestyle.’ But, considering that he started entirely independently,
there has been a lot of interest in the artist’s background. Let’s look at where he came from.

Early in 2024, Brisbane-born, Sydney-based rap artist Imthxfuture shared that he had
recently collaborated on an EP alongside Antonio Brown, the NFL footballer, music artist,
and current president of Kanye West’s sports fashion line.
The EP was cooked up in Miami, Florida, and saw Imthxfuture working alongside both
Antonio Brown (known as AB) and fellow esteemed rap artist Jay Critch. When news of
the collaboration was shared, Imthxfuture found himself giving interviews on world-famous
radio stations such as Hot97, where he talked about how this had all come about – as well as
sharing details of the trio’s new single, ‘How I’m Living,’ which is scheduled to drop on
February 15, 2024.
For Imthxfuture, his long-term fans, and his broader management (including his
brother/manager), the last few months have been surreal. Having started off rapping in clubs
and venues in Brisbane, just trying to make a name for himself on the local scene, suddenly
he was sitting in national radio studios talking about recording highly anticipated Extended
Players or shooting professional music videos on the streets of New York City.
But Imthxfuture’s fairytale story isn’t a fairytale at all. Every opportunity he’s taken has been
down to dogged determination and having a solid team to support his vision the entire way.
Yung Future started releasing songs at 12. Even at this young age, his music was incredibly
potent. He was writing heartfelt emo-rap and trap-rap songs, building up a fanbase who
respected that his music was raw, independent, and always from the heart.
Eventually, Imthxfuture’s vision became grander. In 2023, he shared ‘Lifestyle,’ his most
impactful song. ‘Lifestyle’ was an extravagant look at individuals who demand the best
out of the lives they lead. The song was shared alongside a killer music video, which
Tom Buckley directed and filmed by his high school friend Jordan Mundey. Everything
about this song immediately picked up positive attention. The song was slickly produced, the
music video was masterful, and Imthxfuture had an undeniable star power.
Within weeks, the artist had packed up his things and moved to Sydney. Then, weeks after
doing that, he was given the chance to head Stateside to meet with some major label
movers and promoters. Imthxfuture took it all in his stride before eventually teaming up with
established music manager Chris Clemenza to be introduced to a network of producers,
collaborators, and fellow artists with whom he could team up.
The rest is history. As Imthxfuture explained, Clemenza put him in a room with Antonio
Brown and Jay Critch, and they immediately began swapping ideas. ‘How I’m Living’ is the
first chance for listeners to hear precisely what they’ve been cooking together.
But make no mistake, for Imthxfuture – this is only the start of big things.
