What three things does anyone starting in your industry need to know?
First, consistency can be both your best friend and your biggest obstacle. Stick to your goals diligently.
First, consistency can be both your best friend and your biggest obstacle. Stick to your goals diligently.
Second, don’t expect support from familiar faces; often, they might set you back.
Finally, find your niche, stay focused, and trust that your path will be protected.
If you were starting in your industry now, what would you do differently?
I would invest more in myself and foster closer connections with DJs. They are closer to the audience and understand what people want to hear, sometimes offering more support than an entire team.Which people or books have had the most influence on your growth and why?
The Bible has been a significant influence. I’m not much of a reader, but real-life experiences have taught me more than books could. Observing fake friends and family has shown me the harsh realities of life. What has been your biggest success story? Why do you think it was a success?
My authenticity makes me stand out. Even when I respond strongly to negativity, it’s a reaction to genuine challenges. Also, my acting career has taken off—I’m currently #1 on Tubi with the movie “A Hateful Enemy.”What keeps you going when things get tough in the music industry?
I motivate myself. Despite being ostracized and facing personal tragedies, I continue to prove my strength and resilience. My faith and determination fuel my journey in this competitive industry. What made you pursue being an artist full-time?
From reciting Tupac’s music as a child to freestyling, music has always been my outlet for expression and healing. Encouragement from respected figures in the industry, like Jadakiss, affirmed my potential and path.Would you sign to a label?
Yes, definitely! What projects are you working on for the rest of 2024?
I’m focusing on staying consistent and relevant, exploring trap lofi and pain music, and venturing into R&B. Some of my upcoming projects include the mixtapes “Cerpen Keys,” “The Vibe was Keys,” and “Pouring Pain,” plus an R&B tape titled “Chills” available on all platforms.
