For those just getting to know Scorp Dezel, he is a multi platinum producer who has recently been on a tear when it comes to bringing together songwriters, producers, and artists. He does this by hosting “Camp Dezel” which is a song writing camp where industry folks get together and make music.
This most recent LA edition of Camp Dezel wasn’t about chasing trends — it was about reinvention. Scorp Dezel joined forces with Seker Music to host a unique songwriting camp that took existing hit records from their catalog and gave them new legs. Writers and producers didn’t walk in with blank slates. Instead, they had access to hit records, unreleased demos, half-finished ideas, and were given the freedom to experiment.
Zada and Yoko were two of the standout creatives at the LA camp, delivering performances that reminded everyone why these sessions are such a valuable part of the process. While Nigeria’s camp focused on creating brand-new material from scratch, LA was all about evolution — taking what worked and flipping it into something even better.
It’s no surprise Scorp continues to bridge the worlds of creativity and business. This is what the future of music collaboration looks like.
