In a world where streetwear is saturated with trends, The Gasco Apparel is cutting through the noise—with heat. Literally. We sat down with the Connecticut-based creative behind the brand, Gasco, to talk about his visionary process, his game-changing designs, and the purpose driving it all.
Q: Let’s start with the origin. What inspired you to launch The Gasco Apparel?
Gasco: Honestly, it started with vision. If I can envision it, I can create it. Artistry for me is spiritual—it’s not just about the clothes. It’s about pulling ideas from the intangible, things you feel but can’t always describe, and manifesting them into something real. Wearable art. That’s what The Gasco Apparel is.
Q: One of your standout pieces is the heat-reactive windbreaker short set. What made you want to create something that literally changes color?
Gasco: That piece represents everything I stand for—adaptability, innovation, movement with purpose. It changes based on temperature, just like how I move with the energy around me. I wanted to create something that had life. People wear it and become a walking metaphor for growth and change.
Q: You’ve been making serious noise across the Northeast. How did collaborations with folks like The Fire Marshal and Official Talk of the Streets come about?
Gasco: Those connections happened organically. It’s all respect—people see the work and they recognize the authenticity. I don’t force anything. Collaborating with The Fire Marshal in New Haven and Official Talk of the Streets in NYC gave the brand reach, but more importantly, it aligned with the energy I’m trying to put out there.
Q: Your pieces have been featured on the Say Dat Tour with Fuego Base and in music videos. How does it feel to see your art out in the world like that?
Gasco: It’s surreal. To see something I created being worn by artists on stage or in visuals—it means the message is being heard. That’s all I want. I want people to wear The Gasco and feel empowered, feel seen.
Q: You launched Hemp and Rice rolling papers and pulled off multiple pop-up events in just two months. That’s a wild grind. What keeps you going?
Gasco: Family, faith, and legacy. That’s my fuel. I’ve had chances to cut corners, and I won’t lie—sometimes I’m tempted. But I remind myself: shortcuts don’t build longevity. I’m here to create something that lasts, something that matters.
Q: What do you want people to walk away with when they buy or experience something from The Gasco Apparel?
Gasco: Confidence. Identity. I want them to feel stylish, yes—but also like they’re part of something bigger. A movement. A mindset. My dream is to build a seven-figure brand rooted in love, loyalty, and hard-earned lessons. Everything I drop has intention behind it.
Q: What’s next for The Gasco Apparel?
Gasco: More innovation. More impact. I’m staying true to the message: adapt, evolve, and stay grounded. The heat speaks for itself.
