Joyner Lucas just dropped a cinematic visual for “NVM,” starring none other than R&B legend Mýa. The video opens in a dimly lit bedroom, where Lucas voices Mýa’s inner turmoil—”I stayed around for way too long hoping that we’d be straight / but you don’t respect me anymore, I’m seeing it in your face”—capturing the frustration of holding on past the breaking point.
Then, he flips the script, stepping into the partner’s shoes to reminisce on the good times they once shared. The dialogue-heavy concept underscores the once-strong bond that’s now fraying. Social media fans are already vibing with the release—one comment praises, “Joyner just too good at what he does,” while another hails him as “one of the greatest of all time frfr.”
This comes on the heels of his third studio album, ADHD 2, which dropped in July and featured heavy-hitters like Ava Max, T-Pain, Big Sean, Chris Brown, and more. It also follows his high-profile feud with Skepta, where diss tracks flew back and forth last month.
