Born Xavier Eythell and known on stage as Zavey, the Houston-based artist is building a name on clever wordplay, undeniable hooks, and music that resonates beyond the surface. Influenced by hip-hop legends like Tupac, T.I., Lil Wayne, UGK, and Jay-Z, Zavey blends classic inspiration with a modern, forward-thinking approach.
Zavey describes his sound as witty and catchy, creating songs that anyone can vibe to while still rewarding listeners who pay close attention. His creative process is focused and intentional—he locks in by listening to beats from producers SDGR8, Itsbobbybeige, and Hauskatze, staying in the zone until the track is fully realized.
At the core of his music is a simple but powerful message: never give up. That determination shines through in his latest project, Over Your Head, which was inspired by critics who told him to “dumb down” his music because it went over people’s heads. Instead of conforming, Zavey doubled down on intelligence and creativity, proving that authenticity matters more than fitting a mold.
The project features strong collaborations with Big Goony, Nicko Vybes, Quwin, Kushton Mac, and Itsbobbybeige, each bringing their own flavor while complementing Zavey’s vision. His motivation comes directly from his supporters, whose encouragement continues to push him forward.
Zavey maintains his individuality by never trying to sound like anyone else and constantly challenging himself creatively. He balances music and personal life by clearly separating the two, allowing him to stay focused without burning out. One of his most powerful personal moments is captured in his YouTube video “Fed Dreams,” a song written while he was in prison—proof that creativity can thrive even in the darkest moments.
Looking ahead, Zavey has his eyes set on 2026, promising major surprises. His long-term goal is to become a world-renowned artist and take his music on tour globally. Above all, he hopes listeners walk away from his music feeling inspired to be creative.
