Buffalo rapper Jaydense and Staten Island producer Jboogz officially release COGNITIVE DISTORTIONS, a concept-driven underground hip-hop album exploring paranoia, ambition, loyalty, and mental conflict.
After months of anticipation, teasers, and growing underground momentum, Jaydense and Staten Island producer Jboogz have officially released their collaborative album COGNITIVE DISTORTIONS today.
The project arrives following the success of the singles “RISING” and “DIFFERENT OVER HERE,” both of which helped introduce Jaydense to a wider audience within independent hip-hop circles. “RISING” previously climbed to #2 on the iTunes Top 200 Hip-Hop chart and received radio support internationally in Australia and France, helping position the Buffalo artist as one of the more talked-about emerging names in underground rap.
Built around the psychological concept of distorted thinking patterns, COGNITIVE DISTORTIONS explores themes like isolation, paranoia, ambition, loyalty, ego, and emotional exhaustion. Jaydense delivers a mix of introspective storytelling and aggressive performances throughout the project, while Jboogz provides layered production filled with cinematic textures and heavy East Coast-inspired percussion.
The album also features appearances from Captivated C, K-Rob, Zak G, Storm Young, Yung AK, Nikmoody, and 12fifteen.
For Buffalo’s growing hip-hop scene, the release feels like another major independent moment. With emotionally honest songwriting and strong conceptual direction, COGNITIVE DISTORTIONS positions Jaydense as an artist continuing to evolve beyond regional recognition.
