The streets are buzzing about the upcoming collaborative effort between Tingz, formerly 7de & Joshua Nathaniel, formerly Niño Brown and Cortez Garza. The union between these artist has a origin story that can only be described as divine intervention and while the music has a Christian / faith based message, there’s nary an indication of its genre that’s on-the-nose, outside a few lines in either collaboration thus far. Joshua Nathaniel delivers powerful detail laden bars that often feel more like a retelling of actual events as opposed to him sermonizing his flock, the mark of a truly seasoned preacher man. Tingz has released a total of two singles of his new up and coming project making this his 1st outing with a featured artist and with it he stays true to form by setting the ground work and keeping “Tingz” wavy and setting the tone by creating the perfect assist to his legendary featured artist. “Yolk” is the best of what melodic rap has to offer and in keeping with the style implements a less is more approach. Think Gunna meets Sade with a little love from above.
