Rory Explains Why He Confronted QueenzFlip During Club Livestream

Rory Farrell is giving more context to his recent confrontation with QueenzFlip after the two crossed paths at a New York City nightclub.

The former Joe Budden Podcast co-host found himself at the center of a viral moment earlier this week when he approached QueenzFlip during the latter’s livestream at the Girls Love Karaoke event. Rory repeatedly questioned Flip about previously referring to him and his longtime podcast partner, Mal, as “suckers.”

The exchange quickly circulated online, prompting plenty of discussion among fans of hip-hop podcast culture. Now, Rory has explained what was going through his mind when he decided to approach Flip.

During the latest episode of New Rory & Mal, Rory, Mal, and Demaris Giscombe discussed the incident. Mal questioned whether the nightclub was the appropriate setting for the confrontation, while Rory acknowledged that he may have misread the situation.

Rory explained that he noticed QueenzFlip’s cameras and believed he could see a situation developing. Rather than waiting to see what happened, he decided to address it first.

Rory also made it clear that he wasn’t trying to portray himself as a “tough guy.” Instead, he said he prefers to deal with issues directly rather than allowing them to linger.

However, Rory ultimately admitted that his approach wasn’t necessarily the right one. He apologized to QueenzFlip and acknowledged that he could have misunderstood what was happening around him.

“If he says I’m out of my mind, he could very well 100 percent be telling the truth,” Rory said while reflecting on the confrontation.

The conversation also brought some tension between Rory and Demaris into focus. Demaris pointed out that Rory wasn’t actually alone when the incident happened because she and rapper REASON were also present. From her perspective, confronting another man in that environment changed the energy for everyone around them and potentially created an uncomfortable situation.

Rory accepted that criticism and admitted he wasn’t proud of how the encounter unfolded.

Mal offered a different approach, saying he generally wouldn’t seek someone out over an issue but would be willing to address it if the other person approached him respectfully.

The history between Rory, Mal, and QueenzFlip dates back to Flip’s arrival on The Joe Budden Podcast. According to Rory, the repeated “sucker” comments toward him and Mal stayed with him, making the nightclub encounter more personal than it may have appeared from the viral clip.

Interestingly, the confrontation happened during an already chaotic night for QueenzFlip. Earlier reports also showed Remy Ma confronting him at the same Girls Love Karaoke event, with the rapper repeatedly calling him a “b*tch.”

For now, Rory appears to have taken responsibility for his part in the situation while offering an explanation for why he felt compelled to address QueenzFlip in the first place. Whether the two ultimately settle their differences remains to be seen, but with both sides operating in the same hip-hop media circle, the situation could easily come up again on their respective platforms.
