Kodak Black Flips Drake’s “Little Birdie” Into His Own “Lil Birdie”

Kodak Black is having some fun with the comparisons surrounding Drake’s latest music. After fans noticed similarities between Drake’s “Little Birdie” and Kodak’s signature sound, the Florida rapper has now put his own spin on the track with “Lil Birdie.”

Drake recently released “Little Birdie” as part of ICEMAN, and listeners quickly pointed out the song’s resemblance to Kodak’s delivery. From the cadence and vocal tone to the overall flow, some fans felt Drake was channeling the Florida rapper’s style.

Rather than letting the conversation play out without a response, Kodak decided to lean into it. On September 30, 2026, he released his own version of the song, keeping the original beat while bringing his unmistakable voice and melodies to the record.

Kodak Black Makes the Comparison His Own

What makes “Lil Birdie” interesting is that Kodak doesn’t completely reinvent the track. He uses a similar flow to Drake’s version, but his distinctive vocal delivery gives the record a noticeably different character.

The move also turns an internet conversation about Drake sounding like Kodak into an official release from the artist himself. Instead of arguing about the similarities, Kodak appears to be embracing them and showing listeners how the track sounds through his own interpretation.

“Lil Birdie” arrived as a standalone single on September 30 and is currently not attached to an album.

With Drake’s “Little Birdie” already generating discussion among hip-hop fans, Kodak’s version adds another layer to the conversation. Now listeners have both artists’ takes on the same musical idea—and Kodak is making sure his version gets heard.
