
Word is quickly going around that West Coast Hip Hop Icon Snoop Dogg now has ownership of the legendary hip-hop label Death Row Records. according to news sources all over Snoop acquired Death Row Records, The Label that gave him the start to his illustrious career and is responsible for the release of his 1993 debut album “Doggystyle” by MNRK Music Group. Though the terms of the purchase have not been publicly disclosed, rumors and details have begun to float around the internet.
Snoop said “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me. I would like to personally thank the teams at Blackstone, MNRK and especially David Kestnbaum, who worked collaboratively with me over several months to make this exciting homecoming a reality. I’m looking forward to building the next chapter of Death Row Records.
Death Row kicked off in the early 1990s with co-founders such as Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, the D.O.C. and Dick Griffey. The Notorious label is responsible for the release of Iconic Hip Hop Albums from the great 2Pac, Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, and other west coast legends. On February 13th 2022 Snoop plans to release his next studio album titled B.O.D.R. an Acronym for Bacc on Death Row. It’s also been said that Snoop will perform during this years Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show along with
Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre & Mary J. Blige. It’s safe to say this years Super Bowl will be nothing short of Iconic.
