A Star In The Making Izzey J’s Journey

Hailing from the vibrant city of Lagos, Nigeria, Izzey J is a singer and songwriter who’s quickly making waves in the Afrobeats and Afropop scene. With five years of experience under his belt, the talented artist is ready to take his career to the next level, and he’s already setting the stage for something massive.

“I’ve been making music for about 5 years now,” Izzey shares, reflecting on his musical journey. “It started with my first project, ‘Things,’ featuring O.G Wavy. That was the beginning of everything for me.” Since then, Izzey has been working tirelessly to refine his sound and make his mark in the world of Afrobeats, drawing inspiration from global icons like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Drake.

His latest release, “Things You Do,” is a testament to his growth as an artist. With smooth melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and a touch of his unique flair, it’s clear that Izzey is on the path to creating something even bigger. “Right now, I’m working on my debut EP,” he says. “It’s coming along great, and I can’t wait for my fans to hear it.”

When asked about his dream collaborators, Izzey reveals, “Swae Lee is someone I’ve always admired. If I could work with anyone, dead or alive, it would definitely be him.” Though he’s currently unsigned, Izzey is aiming for a distribution deal and is determined to keep pushing forward. He believes that his music, paired with the support of his family and friends, will carry him far.

His creative process doesn’t stop at just writing and recording songs. Izzey takes an active role in conceptualizing his music videos, blending his artistic vision with the help of directors and producers. “I like to create the concepts for my music videos, but I’m also open to new ideas,” he explains.

Looking ahead, Izzey is excited about the future. He sees himself headlining a major show at the O2 Arena in five years and performing on the biggest stages across the world, especially in the USA. With plans to tour with the likes of Rugar, Omah Lay, and Swae Lee, his sights are set on taking his career to the next level.

For now, though, Izzey is focused on releasing his next single, which he hopes will hit the airwaves later this year. And in the meantime, fans can enjoy his latest work and connect with him on social media.
