BURNOUT, an Atlanta-based singer-songwriter, is carving a unique space in the world of music with her blend of alternative RnB. Her career may be only 2 and a half years old professionally, but this artist has been honing her craft since the age of 5, pouring her heart into every note and lyric. With her latest EP, SIED, making waves, BURNOUT is poised to become one of the genre’s most exciting voices.
Music has always been in BURNOUT’s blood. Growing up in a house where creativity was encouraged, she first began to explore her passion for music through her childhood, long before she even knew she was destined for a career in it. Her journey to professional music started with her debut track “Spain,” which set the tone for her evolving sound—fusing electronic vibes with deep emotional lyrics.
The influences on BURNOUT’s sound are as eclectic as her personality. She draws inspiration from legends like Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, but also pulls from the contemporary sounds of artists such as The Weeknd, Kelela, Florence and the Machine, and even Flyleaf. It’s this blend of past and present that gives her music an edgy yet nostalgic feel, taking listeners on a journey through alternative RnB.
Despite having no features on her music yet, BURNOUT dreams of working with none other than the Queen of Rap, Nicki Minaj. Her ambition doesn’t stop there; she envisions her music reaching stages across the globe, with Japan standing out as a top destination for a live performance. Her fans, a combination of close-knit friends, followers, and strangers, are her biggest supporters—fueling her to continue creating, even when times get tough.
What’s next for BURNOUT? She’s hard at work on her upcoming EP and continues to experiment with new sounds and concepts for her music videos. There’s no doubt that BURNOUT’s creative mind is constantly moving forward, pushing boundaries and creating fresh art. “Shhhh,” she teases when asked about her next release—keeping her cards close to the chest while fans eagerly await what’s to come.
Looking ahead, BURNOUT has big dreams. In five years, she sees herself “abundant, safe, loved, and finally stable.” Her heart remains focused on the music and the art of storytelling, and it’s only a matter of time before the world catches on to her undeniable talent.
