Ed Sheeran Eyes Nashville as He Relocates to U.S.

Ed Sheeran is preparing for a major lifestyle shift—moving from the English countryside to the United States. The 34-year-old hitmaker confirmed on The 2 Johnnies podcast that he and his family are relocating as he embarks on a lengthy American tour.

“I’m just about to move to America,” Sheeran revealed, adding with a laugh, “I feel like I might be the only person moving to America.” He explained that touring makes it difficult to go back and forth, especially with two young children. “We’re going and settling there,” he said.

Although he didn’t specify where they’ll settle, Nashville is a strong contender. Sheeran has spoken often about his admiration for the city, which is home to country music’s biggest stars. “Nashville is, like, my favorite city in the States,” he told Call Her Daddy. “My end goal would be like, I’m gonna move to Nashville and transition to country.”

Sheeran’s interest in country music has grown over the years. He has collaborated with artists like Taylor Swift and Luke Combs, and his appreciation for storytelling aligns closely with the genre. Still, he acknowledges the commitment it requires. “I feel like once you transition to country, you can’t transition back. Once you’re there, you’re there.”

Currently, Sheeran divides his time between his Suffolk estate and the U.S., where he owns a luxury $10 million Brooklyn apartment. His upcoming move signals a more permanent chapter overseas, blending family life with his career’s next phase.

For fans, the shift suggests that country-inspired tracks might be on the horizon—another step in Sheeran’s genre-bending journey.
