Crazy Forces, England
Q.) What is your name/stage name
A.) “Crazy Forces“
Q.) Where are you from?
A.) “I’m from England.“
Q.) What do you do?
A.) “I’m an electrical cable jointer.“
Q.) How long have you been making music?
A.) “Around 12 years.“
Q.) Who’s your biggest inspiration?
A.) “My earliest and biggest inspiration is ‘The Prodigy’ but I’m inspired by loads of other bands like ‘Rancid’, ‘Public Enemy’, ‘Metallica’, ‘The Clash’ and ‘Underworld’ to name just a few.“
Q.) What genre of music do you create?
A.) “I don’t like sticking to genres I just make what I like. I’m inspired by so many different genres I just class myself as ‘Electronic.’ I’d like to do some collabs and take artists out of their comfort zones. Like stick a rapper or rocker on an electronic track. Give people something to think about. I don’t claim to be some sort of pioneer who’s creating something new, but I like to mess around with genres not stick to em.“
Q.) who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?
A.) “I couldn’t pick one as it would be my daughter’s. My eldest is a dancer and my youngest is learning to play guitar.
Other than that, it would be anyone I’m following on SoundCloud. There are so many talented unsigned artists out there that are better than most of what you hear on radio or TV. Don’t get me wrong I’ve got my idols, but I’d rather help someone in the same position as me than piggyback to fame off the success of someone who’s already made it.“
Q.) Are you signed to a label?
A.) “No, I’m not.“
Q.) Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal or none?
A.) “I’d like to get my music heard so some sort of deal would be great, but I don’t want to mug myself off. I ain’t naive either. I understand that if I want a career out of music, I need money for promotions and gigs etc. but I ain’t selling out to get there. It would have to be right for me. I make music I enjoy, and I wouldn’t change that for any money.“
Q.) Who are your biggest supporters?
A.) “My followers on SoundCloud.“
Q.) Where did your name come from?
A.) “I was originally called ‘Man-At-Arms’ but there were several others with that name, so I changed it to J///SON and decided to run a side project making music inspired by the 90’s rave scene (which sounded crazy) but wanted to keep the big powerful beats in my tracks so that’s where the ‘Forces’ came into it. I then scrapped the side project and focused on my original project getting rid of the name ‘J///SON’ and keeping ‘Crazy Forces’ cos I preferred it.“
Q.) What are you currently working on?
A.) “A load of tracks I started but never finished.“
Q.) What is your latest release?
A.) “An EP titled ‘Skulduggery.’ it’s made up of three tracks I made a while ago.“
Q.) When is your next release?
A.) “30th August 2022 titled ‘The Good Guy’. It’s one of the first tracks I ever made so it will be interesting to see how people react to it.”
