SagerStudios; Bay Area, Santa Rosa
Q: What is your name/stage name?
A: “SagerStudios”
Q: Where are you from?
A: “Bay Area (Santa Rosa)“
Q: What do you do?
A” “I started as a film director and editor, but I fell in love with making music. Now I record, mix/master, rap, sing and write music. I can also film and edit videos.“
Q: How long have you been making music?
A: “2 years.“
Q: Who’s your biggest inspiration?
A: “Without a doubt Mac Miller.“
Q: What genre of music do you create?
A: “Mainly rap, hip-hop and R&B.“
Q: What was it like working with (collabs?)
A: “I love working with new artists and producers, whether I am engineering or rapping it’s always a good time and a good vibe. There’s no other feeling like the one you get when you make a new song with someone. I just love to make music.“
Q: What are some features you have?
A: “Right now all of my features are with other local rappers from my hometown. There are two groups I work with the most, Live Forever Network (LFN) and Outsiders Aholic. Some key features from those two groups are with: Marxx, Shane Healy, BenzoVibin, JB Daniels, Guap 248, Don Geno, Young Sneezy and Zee.“
Q: What are some features you want to get?
A: “I would love to get a feature with T-pain and Young Cash from NappyBoi Radio, Lil Uzi Vert, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, E-40, G-Eazy, YG and Mac Miller.“
Q: Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?
A: “Mac Miller 100% and if I was able to work with 2 artists then Juice WRLD would be my second choice.“
Q: Are you signed to a label?
A: “No I am not signed to any label, I am independent.”
Q: Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?
A: “Yes, if it’s the right deal and we can agree on certain percentages and numbers, I want to own all of my masters especially since I mix/master all of my music.“
Q: Who are your biggest supporters?
A: “My biggest supporters are my friends and family, as well as random strangers around the world. I get more love and support from random people than from the people I grew up with in my hometown. There is a lot of hometown hate in the Bay Area.”
Q: Where did your name come from?
A: “Sager is my last name also pronounced as say-ger. I came up with SagerStudios to brand my last name and since I film, edit, mix/master adding the studios after Sager just fits perfectly.“
Q: What are you currently working on?
A: “I am working on a new project called Golden Gate Views. I am currently adding more and more songs to the vault and will pick and choose the best ones for the final drop.“
Q: What is your latest release?
A: “My latest release is my 2nd studio album called The Neighborhood Plug. It dropped on my birthday on May 7th, 2022.“
Q: When is your next release?
A: “My next release will be Golden Gate Views and maybe a few singles before that. I am still working on plenty of new songs.“
