Growing up in the gritty streets of the Bronx, where hip-hop’s roots run deep, Cappuccina718 always knew she had something special to offer. At just 14 years old, she took her first dive into the world of music with a track called “Hoodlove,” a raw and honest reflection of her life in the Bronx. Inspired by legends like Jay-Z, Nas, MC Lyte, and Mary J. Blige, Cappuccina718 combines the lyrical depth of East Coast rap with soulful harmonies reminiscent of R&B’s golden era.
With a raspy voice that packs the punch of DMX but can seamlessly glide into the smooth, heartfelt tones of Mary J. Blige, Cappuccina718 has crafted a sound that’s entirely her own. Her music isn’t just about beats and bars; it’s about storytelling. “Herstory,” her latest album set to release on September 30th, 2024, is more than just another hip-hop record—it’s a declaration of her journey, her struggles, and her triumphs as a woman in a male-dominated industry.
She’s a self-made artist who writes her own material and even creates the concepts for her music videos. Independence is key for Cappuccina718, but she’s not opposed to signing a deal if it’s right for her. “A record or distribution deal? Yeah, I’m open to it,” she says. “But it has to be on my terms. I’m not just another artist—they have to know I’m building an empire.”
Her music has already graced audiences of up to 1,000 people, but Cappuccina718 has her eyes set on much bigger stages. Dubai is at the top of her bucket list, and she dreams of taking her sound global. “I can see myself on tour with everyone,” she laughs. “But working with people like Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie—man, that would be a dream come true.”
As she looks ahead, the future for Cappuccina718 is bright. In five years, she envisions owning her own label, mentoring the next generation of artists while continuing to make waves in the music scene. With “Herstory” on the horizon, one thing is clear: Cappuccina718 is just getting started.
