
Sambou “Bubba” Camara has been making waves in the music industry for quite some time. He founded Highbridge, The Label in 2015. Popularly known as HBTL, The record label would go on to sign artists like A Boogie, Don Q and Trap Manny. Camara and HBTL are also partners with Atlantic Records, one of the largest record companies in the world. Atlantic Records began its partnership with HBTL after the release of A Boogie’s first mixtape, “Artist” in 2015. With this alliance, HBTL would go on to dominate the New York hip hop scene for over half a decade. A Boogie’s most notable singles are “Drowning” ,which was released in 2017 and features Kodak Black, “Look Back At It”, which released in 2018 and was included on Boogie’s “Hoodie Szn” album, and “Swervin”, which also released in 2018. These are only a few of the numerous highly acclaimed singles to come from Boogie & HBTL.
Along with the success of A Boogie, Don Q has also made major contributions to the success and widespread recognition of HBTL. In early 2019, Don Q would release a scathing diss towards Tory Lanez. Many believe that Don Q showcased unmatched lyrical ability during this debacle. Don Q has demonstrated his lyrical prois on various occasions. Through numerous Funk Flex freestyles, many believe Don Q to be one of the best lyricists in all of hip hop.
Camara’s ability to cultivate talent is seen through the success of A Boogie and Don Q. Camara and Highbridge the Label have successfully made a major mark within the music industry and HBTL is a powerhouse for New York hip hop and will continue to be for years to come.
