| Hey 90SIX how are you? I’m blessed, living good, feeling good. What is your biggest achievement? One of my biggest achievements so far was co-producing Pearly Gates for Jadakiss. It was unexpected how it happened, I was at a venue in the town and I met a good friend of jadakiss after I got done playing my beats for this producer showcase event, my man smiley. He put me onto Jadakiss’s Ignatius album. They sent a sample over and I recreated the sample with my own little twist on it and kiss said I nailed it. My guy dukes hopped on the project and did the drums and it was history after that. It was others who pitched work on that record like S. Dot and I think Buddha, and they put the icing on the cake. Who is your biggest inspiration? First God and then it would be my sister Ca’tori. She and I do this music together and set many goals to build longevity and capital in this industry. She stayed strong with me during hard times and she always kept me focused. Another inspiration would have to be my uncle jerry livingston, rest in peace he was rick james bass player, and I was one of the last who played with him but I’ve seen him in multiple studio sessions and seen how his character pushed the energy of the record in a positive direction. I’ve grown to take on that character and be the solution and inspiration in the room. Where do you see yourself in 1 year? Living better than today, but definitely expanding my brand and movement in today’s culture. I see myself producing for the next top artists in this current generation. Bringing a new sound, and a new standard to music, and letting the artist captivate the vibe on each track. pretty much doing all the necessary prep work to be in a position where I’m forming a unified team that makes up the label I’m working on. The mission is to keep finding and building the new talent or gift to the world and with my skills and gift, I’ll create the vision and foundation and watch it go global every time. Where are you from? I’m from the 716. Buffalo, New york. How old are you? Twenty-six Are you working on any projects? Yeah, right now I’m working on Ca’Tori’s album, my sis been in the studio back to back, killing each record. We’re going to be dropping a 12-track album, and it’s just going to be almost like a small playlist of just vibes. We givin’ energy, life, positivity, love, courage, comfort & self-care on this album. She’s an amazing singer, vocally trained and when two people come together with that level of skill and drive, it shocks you what you can produce in those moments. I got my boy who’s at 300 entertainment right now who i’m about to send some music for his playlist and maybe I’ll be producing for another big artist. What are you in this industry for? Honestly only to carry out what I love to do every single day and to give back. As I continue to grow and build my group of connections and resources, I can at that time make positive impacts by giving back, and what I mean by giving back is, first listening to the major struggles and evaluating how I and my resources can be of assistance. That’s what it’s all about in my opinion. Yeah, I can be cool, pop up here and there, buy what I want, but it don’t mean nothing, for real. So, it’s about supporting everyone I can through my music, my decisions, and what I represent. What’s your next move? Getting the ball rolling and never stopping. Definitely, about to start building some businesses in all various industries, I got a great understanding of how business and money work, coming from the financial industry, so the plan is to move collectively and plant seeds, and create synergy amongst my businesses so they don’t stand and grow without the support of one another. That’s the next move though and building with more connections. I live by this saying, “You’re only as strong as the people who follow you”. So the more I build for the people the more I grow. |
