A4.I started making music professionally six years ago.
Q5. How serious are you about your career?
A5. I am extremely serious about my music career. I won’t stop until I become exactly who I am suppose to be.
Q6. Have you ever thought about quitting music?
A6. No
Q7. Who inspires you the most?
A7. Erykah Badu is one of my biggest inspirations musically. I love the way that she weaves knowledge into her music, making sure she is feeding the mind as well as the spirit.
Q8. What got you into making music?
A8. When I graduated college, I started working at a music studio in Austin, Tx. Ever since that job, I have been obsessed with making music. I have always loved music and singing, but I never thought of it as something I could pursue until it was right in front of my face.
Q9. Who is your favorite producer?
A9. My favorite producer would have to be Pharrell Williams. I feel like within his production he has created a new world of sounds that have never been heard before. Every beat that you hear, you know 100% when its a Neptune’s/Pharrell beat. I also love the way he uses drums, and synths.
Q10. What is one of your favorite songs/beats?
A10. One of my favorite songs, and beat, would have to be “Selfish’ by Slum Village, because I love the way that they incorporated a boom bap style rap over such a classic melodic beat.
Q11. Are you signed to a record label?
A11. I am not signed to a record label, as of right now everything I do is independent, and ran by myself.
Q12. Have you ever performed?
A12. I have, I actually have a residency coming up in November, every Thursday at Firehouse Lounge in Austin, Tx. I also will be opening a show for Talib Kweli, October 25th.
Q13. Who would you most likely collaborate with?
A13. My dream collaboration would be either Brent Fiyaz, Frank Ocean, Or Sir.
Q14.If you could open for any artist who would it be?
A14. If I could open for any artist, it would be Jhene Aiko.
