The wrongful death lawsuit brought by Lil Peep’s mother, Liza Womack, against her son’s former label and management company, First Access Entertainment (FAE), has been settled after almost four years, according to court documents. The settlement agreement’s details were not made public. The lawsuit, filed in 2019, accused FAE, member of Peep’s management team Bryant Ortega, and Peep’s tour manager Belinda Mercer of playing a role in the rapper’s fatal overdose of Xanax and fentanyl in November 2017. The suit alleged negligence, breach of contract, and other claims, including that Mercer had a sexual relationship with Peep and provided him drugs. FAE CEO Sarah Stennett was accused of gifting Peep a bottle of pills during a group dinner. In February 2022, a judge dismissed the wrongful death claim and two out of four negligence claims against Ortega but ruled that the case against FAE and Mercer could proceed. FAE, Mercer, and Ortega have all denied the allegations.
