Coming straight out of Edmonton, Alberta, Michael Bailer is making serious noise in Canada’s underground trap scene. More than just a rapper, he’s a self-made artist, producer, and engineer who’s spent years sharpening his sound until it hit with impact. His music lives at the crossroads of raw emotion and trap energy—crafted by a mind that’s equally wired for bars and beats.
Bailer’s journey didn’t start like most. His first-ever track, released back in 2012, was a Christian rap record called “God’s Knowledge.” But that was just the beginning. A decade later, he broke into the game with “Know Me,” a polished, melodic statement that signaled he was ready for a bigger stage. Since then, he’s leaned deeper into trap aesthetics while keeping a soulful undercurrent, creating a signature sound he calls “energy laced with soul.”
His influences run wide—from the atmospheric vibes of Travis Scott to the futuristic flows of Yeat, with sprinkles of The Weeknd’s emotion and Kanye West’s creative boldness. “I study the greats, but I still keep it me,” Bailer says. “Everything I make comes from my own story, my own lens.”
That story is currently unfolding through his upcoming debut album, Angel Shadows. The project is still under wraps, but Michael promises it’ll be his most personal and experimental work yet. Leading the way is “GO,” a high-octane track that’s already catching momentum across platforms, with fans vibing to its sleek production and sharp delivery.
Though he’s currently independent, Bailer’s not afraid of the big leagues—he’s just waiting for the right fit. His dream collaboration? Travis Scott, no question. And if you ask him where he sees himself performing in the future, he’ll say a festival in LA or a sold-out show in Miami. Big stages, big energy, and a sound that can cross borders.
Outside the studio, Michael’s success is fueled by a close circle of supporters—his friends and his girlfriend, who’ve believed in his vision since day one. “They’re my day ones,” he says. “When the noise dies down, they’re still around. That means everything.”
The mission is clear: keep evolving, keep creating, and take the Alberta sound global. Whether it’s in the booth, behind the board, or on the stage, Michael Bailer isn’t waiting for the spotlight—he’s building it himself.
Stay tapped in, because Angel Shadows is coming. And if “GO” is any indication, the world’s about to hear a whole new side of Canada’s trap scene.
