.) What do you have going on that you’re most excited about?
– “I have a book and an album dropping on my birthday while I’ll be in Jamaica!”
.) What would you say you are least excited about?– “I would say the least excitable thing for me will be the time away from home. I’m typically a home body but I know once the book and the album drop, home is going to seem like a vacation.”
.) Is there anything specific about you or your work that you think we should know about?
– :Next year I am opening a food truck so I want people to know to get ready, because when it comes to cooking I’ve got some dishes that would surprise Gordon Ramsey, in a good way of course.”
.) What would you consider to be a lot of money?– “Well to account for inflation I would say if you have anywhere from 250K – 500K saved up you’re doing pretty well.”
.) Are you in it for the money?– “Absolutely not! I’m in this because this has been my passion for years and I have a legacy to leave behind, one that left a resounding positive impact on this world.”
.) Is there anything you’ve accomplished that you didn’t think you would be able to?– “Yeah, putting out a book and an album on the same day. Not many people know just how long I’ve been working on material, going through experiences to build to this moment.”
.) What is the first song off your catalogue that you would direct a potential new fan to listen to?– “Definitely Old Time Religion! The production on the track is insane and the message is one that is necessary for today. Plus the flow on there is crazy!“
.) How many songs have you released?– “3 songs (Blissfull Saturation, Love Slide, and Old Time Religion)”
c
.) Tell us about some of your works not yet released, what’s going on in the vault?– “Well it’s 11 tracks on the album, so there’s the 7, people have yet to hear. But adding to the excitement of releasing Truth Be Told, I’ll be releasing a second project where I’ll get to work with Jadakiss and Fat Joe.”
.) What do you think your role in the music community may end up being?– “Without a doubt I see myself looking to make similar if not more moves than the late Nipsey Hussle. His community involvement and just how real he was with everything he did is something I know people will be seeing from me.”
.) What is a goal you have for between now and next year?– “Getting my book on the NY Best Sellers list and Oprah’s book club along with sending my album to the top. Also as mentioned earlier the opening of my food truck.”
.) How do you respond when people talk about being an artist like its a far fetched thing?– “I let them know different strokes for different folks, you know? Some people just have the drive and ethic to be that really dope artist, while others depending on who they are maybe what they’re exposed to, they just don’t see the vision the same way.”
.) Who is the rapper you can first recall listening to?– “Jay-Z. He’s been my favorite artist period and when I first heard his flow and style of rap I was hooked.”
,) What role would you say they had in the music industry and do you still listen to them?– “I honestly think he set the blueprint (all pun intended). Hell yeah I do, still waiting on that new album too hopefully. “
