Rema continues his red-hot streak with the hypnotic new single “Bout U,” a smooth Afro-R&B fusion that dives headfirst into the intoxicating pull of romance. Hot off the success of his Sade-sampling smash “Baby (Is It a Crime),” the Nigerian star leans into his softer side once again — and the result is just as captivating.
On “Bout U,” Rema blends airy melodies and tender lyricism over a warm, guitar-laced instrumental that carries both emotional weight and breezy charm. His vocals glide effortlessly across the beat, channeling the raw yearning that comes with falling deeply and completely for someone.
While “Baby (Is It a Crime)” showcased his flair for sampling and dramatic delivery, “Bout U” proves that Rema doesn’t need a famous flip to craft a standout. With this release, he shows once more why he’s one of the most versatile and emotionally in-tune artists in Afrobeats today.
