What’s your name?
Tahir Abdussamad and I go by Tsa Da Don
Whats Your Backstory?
I was born in Baltimore but quickly moved to District Heights Maryland where I was raised till I was 10 years old. District heights definitely was a rough neighborhood to live in. You have drugs, crimes, violence, etc. To be honest, only the strong will make it out. At 10 years old I moved to the north side of Wilmington, Delaware. Similar to District Heights, Wilmington has it’s tough neighborhoods. You just have to try to stay away from all of the bs going on in the city. I have been through so much in my life, I decided to put all of my blood, sweat, tears, and pain inside of my music.
What time of day do you make music, are you and early bird or are you up late?
I start to record music early in the morning, and I tend to finish late in the nighttime. I do not stop my recording process until everything is perfect. That means from the vocal recording, the mixing/mastering, etc
Do you prefer to listen to your own catalog of music or the radio?
I actually will listen to both, I always like to keep up with today’s style of music. Me being a versatile artist, I keep my ears open just in case I want to try something new
If you could pick one or the other what would you choose, the money or the fame?
I would choose the money over fame any day of the week. There are tons of musicians that have fame but their house, cars, and jewelry is rented. They don’t even really have much money in their pocket, those artist are living a fake lifestyle to portray a certain image to the audienceIf you could go back in time or in the future which one would you choose and why?
I would love to be able to travel back in time. Look at all of the history that we have dealt with. There are so many things that can I would want to witness face to face. I have a grocery list of the things I would do if I could go back in time
How would you describe your musical style?
My musical style has so many different mixtures to it. If you could stir J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, Wale, Chris Brown, and Tory Lanez in a pot then you would get me.
