1. What’s your name?

My name’s joe but you can find me as ugly joey everywhere else. I used to be “young joey” till after a studio session my homie was like “you’re ugly for killing the beat like that off the dome” so I went with ugly joey

2. Where are you from?

I’m from Albany New York I was adopted at 6 years old and attended school there until the 12 grade then I’d move to Florida for college deciding to drop out and pursue music

3. How old are you?

I’m 20 years old my birthday is on April 18th

4 .When did you start making music

I started making music earlier on in my childhood I think poetry in English class helped my mind open to the idea because I’d write almost everything in a poem and at the time I was going through some big changes in life

5. How serious are you about your career?

Sometimes I think too serious but only because a lot of people who don’t understand my goal and vision try and turn me off the track but the more I tune them out the more serious i get about it so at this point failure is not an option

6. Have you ever thought about quitting music?

I have thought about quitting multiple times but when you have a passion and a drive to do something you’re 9/10 gunna keep doing it, I didn’t quit bc at 20 yrs old I been through hell and back but still didn’t quit. when I wanted to close the curtain of my life music saved me cuz I don’t really got nobody but myself in times like that and poetry and music is still helping me with anxiety and depression, can’t go this far to quit

7. Who inspires you the most?

Lately I’ve been thinking about that and I honestly think my grandfather he would always tell me that no matter what you do in life be happy and would always tell me keep dreaming and working hard Imma be on top in no time

8.What got you into making music?

I would go home watch YouTube play a beat and rap/sing alone for hours and it brought real happiness so I just knew this was for me and that was at 11-12 years old

9.Who is your favorite producer?

Dr Dre or Kanye west those are only one of a kind but one out rn is metro boomin I’m sure I’ll come in contact with many more but those are my top producers

10. What is one of your best songs/beats?

My best song is called sneaky link only saying that because it’s the most recent I think all my songs are great and every new single gets better

11. Are you signed to a record or label?

I am currently an unsigned independent artist

12. Have you ever performed?

Yea I love it too I perform at ybor city in Tampa

13. Who would you most likely collaborate with?

I would most likely collab with the kid lorai or ynwbslime because we got similar sound they also talented as hell

14. If you could open for any artist who would it be?

I would wanna open up for Rae sremmurd because I saw them in concert and I liked the energy of their crowd

15. What’s next for you?

Hopefully I’m looking at getting signed soon but if not imma still be coming up independently I have a album on the way called “road 2 glory” I’m mainly working on getting my marketing right and building my fan base before I drop it
