Hailing from the heart of South Georgia, UTMR PlugHunxho is a multi-talented artist who has spent years honing his craft in the world of music. Rapping, producing, and engineering – his versatility has quickly set him apart in a crowded industry. Although he’s only been actively making music for five years, his journey in music dates back much further. At the age of just seven, he began his engineering journey, learning the technical side of music and laying the foundation for what would become a promising career in the industry.
When asked about his musical influences, UTMR PlugHunxho cites a blend of old-school and modern-day artists, mentioning the soulful Mint Condition and the street-savvy Moneybagg Yo as key inspirations. His sound fuses R&B vibes with trap elements, creating a unique blend that reflects his diverse musical palate. “I’m all about mixing that smooth R&B feel with the hard-hitting trap beats,” PlugHunxho says.
His first track, “Pain In My Cup,” opened the door to his music career. Since then, he’s been consistently working to carve his own lane in the game. He’s collaborated with artists like UTMR2 and Dvybez, adding his distinct touch to the growing pool of talent in the underground scene. But there are still bigger dreams on the horizon, as he lists Fetty Wap, Gunna, MHC CJ, and Moneybagg Yo as artists he’d love to work with in the future.
Though he’s not currently signed to a label, UTMR PlugHunxho is focused on building his own brand and sound. “I’d be interested in a distribution deal,” he shares. “But right now, I’m just trying to put out the best music possible and grow my fanbase.” His supporters, mostly close friends and colleagues, have been essential in his growth, and he credits them for always pushing him to elevate his craft.
He’s been hard at work on new music, teasing his upcoming track, “Shake It,” while his latest release, “AMG,” has been making waves. “I’m always trying to keep my fans engaged with fresh sounds,” PlugHunxho explains. Looking ahead, he’s aiming for bigger milestones, including his dream of performing at an NBA halftime show. “Imagine being on that stage with all those eyes on you—it’s the next level of success,” he says with a smile.
In the next five years, UTMR PlugHunxho envisions himself with at least two Billboard hits under his belt and a successful tour. “I’d love to be on tour with Dvybez,” he adds. “It would be a crazy vibe to hit the road with him.”
