Rising indie artist V Davis is redefining what it means to be an R&B artist in today’s scene. From the heart of Ann Arbor, Michigan, V has been crafting songs that are an emotional journey—blending love, pain, and raw talent into every verse. With five years of experience under his belt, this passionate singer and performer has the soul and drive to make it big in the music world.
V’s music career began with his debut single “Froze,” but it was his album “Damn That’s Davis” that really solidified his place in the indie music scene. He hasn’t looked back since. “Chris Brown has always been my inspiration,” V shares. “I grew up singing and dancing to his tracks at family weddings, and now I get to make my own music, hoping it connects with people just like Chris’s music did for me.”
Known for his R&B, love, and pain tracks, V’s sound is smooth, nostalgic, and deeply personal. His latest single, “Right For You,” is a testament to his growth as an artist and a man. “It’s a love song, but it’s more about finding your true self in the process of love,” he explains. “I pour my heart into each track, and with my new project ‘My Pain and My Struggle,’ I’m opening up about my lost loved ones and the struggles I’ve faced.”
Although V Davis isn’t currently signed to a major label, he’s open to the right opportunity that comes his way. “If the right deal shows up, I’d definitely consider it,” he says. For now, he’s taking control of his career—writing his own songs and coming up with his own music video concepts.
Looking ahead, V sees big things for his future. “In five years, I want to bring R&B back to the forefront, and I see myself working with Chris Brown on tour,” he reveals with excitement. “I’ve always dreamed of performing in London, too—I know the crowd would vibe with my music there.”
