Could Tory Lanez be heading home sooner than expected? According to Wack 100, Lanez may be released in the near future after being granted an appeal hearing in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. On the Adam 22 & Wack 100 podcast, Wack confidently predicted that Lanez would be home by summer 2025. “Expect Tory… I’m gonna call it… I think by summertime, Tory will be home,” Wack said, discussing the latest legal developments. In response, Adam 22 bet $2,000 that Lanez wouldn’t be out by August 31, 2025. Wack adjusted his prediction, stating, “One grand, summer. Two grand by next year sometime.”
Wack 100 further explained that during a conversation with Lanez, the incarcerated rapper mentioned being hopeful about his release. “He asked me when the Kendrick Lamar concert was in Canada, and I told him June 13. He said, ‘I should be home by then.’ But he’s in great spirits,” Wack shared. He added that Lanez has filed two appeals, one of which could potentially clear his name, while the other would allow him to stay in the U.S. instead of being deported to Canada.
Wack’s comments come on the heels of Tory Lanez’s legal team responding to Megan Thee Stallion’s recent restraining order filing. Lanez’s attorneys have dismissed Megan’s claims, calling them false and exaggerated. They stated that their defense is based on “logic and common sense,” and rejected accusations that Lanez was trying to undermine Megan’s newly released documentary.
Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is currently serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. Despite his legal troubles, Lanez continues to release new music, with his latest single, “Blurred (Twitch Tapes),” dropping on December 20.
