Ice Spice and Central Cee Drop ‘Did It First’

The Y2K aesthetic is back in full swing, and Ice Spice is embracing it with her latest single, “Did It First.” Known for her iconic flow, Ice Spice keeps delivering hit after hit, but this time she’s mixing things up with a fresh, nostalgic twist.

“Did It First” features stuttering drums and a catchy looping vocal sample that brings a distinct Y2K vibe to the track. The production, reminiscent of “sexy trap” beats from producers like Cash Cobain, sets the perfect stage for Ice Spice’s confident and engaging delivery.

The track feels like a polished, pop-influenced version of early 2000s hyperdub, offering a retro flair that makes it stand out. Ice Spice’s flow is on point, with sharp lyrics aimed at silencing her critics and showcasing her self-assured persona. Her verses are filled with swagger and a touch of playful aggression, making for an addictive listening experience.

Central Cee joins Ice Spice on this track, adding his own unique style to the mix. His growing popularity in the U.S. makes this collaboration timely and strategic. Central Cee’s verse complements Ice Spice’s flow, and together they create a track that’s both cohesive and dynamic. The Y2K-inspired music video further amplifies their chemistry, making “Did It First” a visual and auditory treat.

“Did It First” is more than just a nostalgic nod to the past; it’s a bold, contemporary track that highlights the strengths of both Ice Spice and Central Cee. Fans are eagerly anticipating whether Ice Spice’s upcoming album will continue to push the boundaries of her sound while keeping that retro edge.
