It’s been a milestone year for both Halle Bailey and DDG, who welcomed their son, Halo, into the world last December. Halo celebrated his first birthday today, marking a special moment for the former couple, who announced their breakup in October. Despite the split, DDG described their separation as amicable, and they’ve maintained a positive co-parenting relationship with minimal conflict.
To mark Halo’s first birthday, both parents took to social media to share heartfelt posts. Halle, known for her role in The Little Mermaid, posted a touching photo of herself holding Halo as a newborn. “365 days ago my baby came,” she wrote, expressing amazement at how quickly the time has flown. “Can’t believe he’s 1!! Will post more later today.”
DDG also shared a sweet photo of Halo, who wore a party hat and sat in front of his birthday candle. “THE BEST BABY IN THE WORLD JUST TURNED 1!” he captioned the image. He later posted a series of photos of Halo being held by various celebrities, including Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Travis Scott, joking that “he slept thru every picture.”
Halo’s special day was also celebrated by his aunt, Chloe Bailey, Halle’s sister, who shared her own post on X. “A year ago today I became an auntie,” Chloe wrote, alongside pictures of her and Halo. “Happy birthday my Halo.”
Just days before the birthday celebration, DDG addressed rumors surrounding his relationship with Halle. During a live stream, he was asked about his favorite ex, to which he mentioned someone other than Halle, sparking controversy. DDG quickly clarified the situation, writing in The Shade Room’s comments, “HALLE IS NOT MY EX, SHE IS MY FAMILY. I EXCLUDED HER. I DON’T GIVE A 2 F*CKS ABOUT THAT OTHER WOMAN, I’M JUST PLAYING THE GAME. THIS IS OUT OF CONTEXT!”
