A Star-Studded Link-Up Signals Future’s Next Move
Future is wasting no time reminding the game why his name carries weight. The Atlanta rap heavyweight has officially released “Ya Hit,” a high-profile collaboration featuring Drake, Travis Scott, and Loe Shimmy. The record arrives November 6, following days of anticipation after a preview began circulating online and sparked conversation about the lineup.
The track brings together four artists with distinct styles. Future anchors the record with his signature melodic trap approach, while Drake adds a verse that has already caught listeners’ attention. On his appearance, Drizzy delivers a pointed line: “Your album ain’t gettin’ no better, it’s done, so submit it.” Travis Scott brings another recognizable voice to the mix, while Loe Shimmy gets an opportunity to stand alongside some of rap’s biggest names. Sexyy Red’s ad-libs also make an appearance during Drake’s section.
One of the biggest talking points is the reunion between Drake and Travis Scott. Their last officially released collaboration was “Meltdown” in 2023, making “Ya Hit” a notable moment for fans who have been waiting to hear them on the same track again. The release also adds another chapter to Future and Drake’s complicated musical relationship, following their renewed connection on “Ran to Atlanta” earlier this year.
For Loe Shimmy, the collaboration is another major look as his profile continues to grow. His connection with Drake has also been developing, including their previous link-up on “I’m Spent.”
“Ya Hit” gives Future a powerful way to kick off his next chapter and build anticipation around his forthcoming music. With this much star power on one record, the Atlanta rapper has made sure the conversation is already loud.
